Great Lakes Mini Classes

The Great Lakes Mini Classes started several years ago and have been held every other year in Michigan. We are proud to offer classes with several renowned sugar artists at each event. In 2010, we are excited to feature Nicholas Lodge, Toba Garrett, and Betty VanNorstrand and welcome many more great instructors as well. We will also have a vendor room for our attendee’s shopping pleasures. J

Sugar Art Showcase

Michigan is home to some of the nations greatest talents, and now it time to “strut your stuff!”

Young or old, beginner or professional… there is no skill limitation for this competition,

and we even have a spot for the little one’s to show their creativity.

There will be ribbons, cash & product prizes,

as well as a grand prize trophy awarded.

There are 2 separate competitions – Divisional & Wedding

Divisional is where you compete against similar skill level contestants (ie. Beginner, Professional, etc.) There are various categories that you may enter within your division if you wish.

The Wedding competition is an ‘open’ competition for anyone of advanced skill level or higher.

The theme for the competition is “Wedding Party Attire”

You will create your design based on any form of Wedding Party Attire (wedding gown, tux, bridesmaid dress, etc… your choice! J)
